Biofuels for cleaner container shipping

19-02-2020 | The maritime biofuel project initiated by the Dutch Sustainable Growth Coalition (DSGC) has led to more interest among shippers for green shipment of products in sea transport. As a result Maersk has introduced the 'eco delivery' concept for companies such as H&M that want to reduce the GHG-emissions of goods transport in sea-containers. The shipping sector gains a growing experience with the use of blends with biofuels. Boskalis is even operating a dredging vessel on 100% biofuels.
