Traceability of Renewable Fuels | 2022

As the energy industry is undergoing a shift from central to decentral and from fossil-based to renewable sources, we see that a new digital infrastructure is needed: firstly to enable grid edge devices to participate in a trusted way in the electricity network; secondly to prove the sustainable nature of energy, be it electrons or molecules. In late 2021 the Dutch Blockchain Coalition started the blockchain and energy working group, with the traceability of biofuels as the first use case.
